Electrical Conductivity of Crystals


The increase in electrical conductivity was discovered after a doctoral student left some strontium titanate out. Further research revealed the boost lasts for days and works at room temperature, suggesting light exposure could make devices that rely on crystals, such as computer chips, significantly more effective.
